Model and Hobbycraft Show at the (Welsh) National Wool Museum

0

Last weekend , 5th & 6th August, I went with Dave Burton and Peter Denyer to the (Welsh) National Wool Museum at Drefach Felindre, Llandusul (near Newcastle Emlyn) in Carmarthenshire to attend a Model and Hobbycraft Show that was organised by Carmarthen Modellers Club.

We were also joined by Mike Gill for a few hours on the Saturday. It was a quiet show, but an interesting venue and very good hospitality from both the club and the museum staff

The Museum is the former Cambrian Woolen Mill which in its day was probably one of the largest of its type in South Wales.  The museum is now part of the National Museum of Wales, with free entry, and covers all of the processes from the receipt of the bales of wool right through to making woolen rugs and clothing.
