Steve Jones takes Best of Show in 2021 MAFVA On-Line Competition

0

I am pleased to announce that Steve Jones has taken Best of Show in the MAFVA 2021 On-Line Competition for his German 15cm self propelled gun Sig 33 Bison. Steve also wins a Gold Medal for the same model. Steve has also won silver and bronze awards for his other entries.

Runner up place, and the other gold award goes to one of our regular contributors, Mark Ford from Washington State USA with his Italian Semovente M40/18.

The overall standard was exceptionally high this year, so congratulations to all who entered.

The full list of awards is shown below. The awards will go out to the winners in due course, but the current world situation means that there may be a delay before they arrive.

Thanks go out to the members who judged, Bob Lockie for his hard work as competition administrator and our chairman Paul Gandy for overseeing the project. This first full-scale on-line competition has proved a great success; so much so that we are considering making this an annual event – at a different time of the year to the MAFVA Nationals – so that our members outside the UK can also take part. More details on that in due course.

The full results are, in no particular order:
