Some time ago Airfix Model World asked me to do an in-depth build of a typical Viet Nam era armoured guntruck. The article appeared in the current (Nov. 2018) issue and includes eight pages of photos, plans of the scratchbuilt parts and tips like how to make your own light coloured decals for dark coloured backgrounds. AMW did an excellent job with the layout (and the editing, correcting my typos!)

Of course since writing the article AFV Club have come out with a M54 5 ton truck, so no doubt an out-of-the-box gun truck won’t be far away. Isn’t it always the way?
